FOR THOSE STUDYING, TEACHING, RESEARCHING

- Support in the use of RMSs such as EndNote and Zotero
Reference Management Software (Zotero, EndNote) makes it possible to compile the bibliography of scientific papers in an automated way, without manual and repetitive editorial intervention, applying the preferred citation style.
- Bibliometric consulting
For each journal you have a project/are invited to publish in, we provide a complete bibliometric sheet extracted from the JCR (Journal Citation Report). Or, from the title/abstract of a manuscript, we suggest tools to identify the most relevant journals for submission. Contact sedevalettapuggia@unige.it
- Purchase of books / supply of documents
The library purchases books for teaching and research, also on request, and quickly supplies journal articles for which there are no current subscriptions (document delivery service)
- Organisation of courses for novice students to support them in using the most authoritative sources (searching for bibliographic information as a "soft skill")
In consultation with lecturers, we organise training activities for students to develop the ability to retrieve the most authoritative scientific information by making use of subscription resources (Wiley, Elsevier, Springer, etc.). Contact e-mail: sedevallettapuggia@unige.it
- SBA: support for Open Access publishers
The University Library System helps to support publication costs (APC, Article Processing Charges) by adhering to transformative contracts or participating in institutional Gold Open Access support programmes.
